Yeah Roche is claiming "100% accuracy" Here's the thing: I can't think of a single other disease that doesn't impart some form of immunity. Not forever-immunity, to be sure, and immunity to coronavirus seems to be mediocre as a rule of thumb; the pork industry has been dealing with coronavirus for a long time and vaccination isn't nearly as satisfactory as everyone would like. And yeah - measles can cause "immune amnesia" but even then, you're fuckin' immune to fuckin' measles and the R0 on measles is 12 to 18 because measles don't fuck around. And measles was a way of life up until 1963. Kids had to worry about measles and the Cuban Missile Crisis. Someone on Twitter pointed out that it was kinda weird how there have been no human coronavirus diseases at all until 2002 but since then we've had SARS, MERS and COVID-19. I generally don't consider myself particularly vulnerable to conspiracy theories, but that's uncanny. I would love to hear an explanation that doesn't involve punking around with CRISPR.
