It seems like almost everyone I know loves The Dude except me. To me, it was an okay movie.

I just watched the movie last night for the first time and the friend who showed it to me said that it got better each time she watched it. She thought it was an okay movie at first but now she absolutely adores it. I was mostly glad to have seen the genesis of so many memes - such as "Goodnight, sweet prince" and "Well that's, like, your, uh, opinion man".

A good movie, like a good album should grow on you. The ones that are immediately satisfying likely gave you all they had in their first viewing.
