kleinbl00 already called me out on the mediocre nature of this week's newsletter. I apologize for that. This one definitely didn't come as easily as past ones. I'm not sure if that is due to me battling some sickness, me not being on Hubski as much due to code code code time, or something to do with the content itself these past couple weeks.

I would appreciate your guys' feedback on the newsletters so that I can try to improve them in the future. I'm just sorta...flying by the seat of my pants. What do you like? What don't you like? Do you want them more often? Less? More content per newsletter? Less? Different? Etc.

Thanks.

Shoutouts to those featured.

I DID NOT! I called it contentious. I mean, c'mon. You feature "user-inactivated"'s bitchfest about mois. And then you linked to a 3-year-old laurelai post. That's graduate-level shit-stirring and you know it. ;-)

tng and I occasionally send insom possible vault posts as we come across them, and I recall that I sent her that laurelai post a few weeks ago. I thought it was an interesting discussion.

That one is on me.

I agree that we shouldn't stir up meta drama.

If this is graduate-level shit stirring, then I don't know what the rest of the conversation we had would be categorized as. That's gotta be some like....post-death post-grad work or something. :P

I take your point though and I apologize. I assure you that it wasn't done to intentionally stir shit. Also, for the record, I've included most (if not all) of the Hubski meta-dramas in the newsletters simply because they tend to spark some real discussions. I always go back and forth like 10 times before finally including it.

Maybe after the holidays I'll do a poll newsletter to see who is reading them. It would be helpful to know if 90% of the audience are everyday Hubskiers or occasional Hubskiers or almost-never Hubskiers. If 90% are everyday Hubskiers, I would probably try to find those hidden gems people might have missed, whereas the occasional Hubskiers probably just want all the top posts that they would have seen if they had been on Hubski.

I'm always shocked by how much my dad knows about Hubski and it's always because of the newsletter. I think it would be cool if a large portion of its recipients didn't even have Hubski accounts.

For the record. I enjoyed this weeks newsletter. I was shocked that you included "user-inactivated," but quickly realized it was likely for the discussion and not the post.

I enjoyed both the laurelai and the mk vaulted posts. Good stuff!

I like your newsletters and think you're doing a top job! I didn't notice a difference in quality. If there were a difference, does that mean it's you, or just not as interesting posts this week?

In any case, keep up the good work! I appreciate all you do for this community, insomiasexx!

As per your questions:

I think every other week seems appropriate. I like featuring discussions and original content. I think the "from the vault" is my favorite aspect.

You're doing a great job though, I look forward to them.

I'd like to know what you can do to make compiling a bunch of links and emailing them to us "mediocre" or not. I haven't noticed a change.

(But then, as I've said before, I'm not the target audience, because I'm active on hubski and see most of these links before they're sent to me.)

I don't think it was mediocre in any way! (although maybe that's because I got into it twice :P )

The meta-drama with user-inactivated- was an interesting choice, but you're the one running the newsletter...
