What's scary to me is that somewhere approaching a majority of Americans feel like they can relate to these people. Edit: I just want to clarify that I find the other flavor only slightly less unsavory. I'm still working on my own brand, and I'll likely never finish, so write me off for hypocrisy.

This gives some credence to the idea of Trump playing an inflammatory buffoon to make other candidates seem more moderate and reasonable. Or perhaps only to insure his own relevance for a time.
