There's one place on Earth that this device works, the skatepark seen in the vid. You'd have to construct every surface you wanted to use this board on with the same magnets embedded in it if you wanted to use your board on it. So this changes nothing.

Same reason this video was shot, I guess. Because lateral stability was just too boring.I do wonder why they didn't put down two metal tracks a couple inches apart in order to make the thing ride-able.

As per usual, my thoughts turned to physics. In related news: am_Unition has trouble invoking willing suspension of disbelief for major Hollywood blockbusters.

Trains can be built using this tech. I think there already is one in Japan.
