I climbed "The Chief" the other day. What a view. I've lived near it for over five years and have only been up this one time (need to do that more). Just over the edge past my foot there is a straight drop 2,100 feet down. It's a popular paragliding launch. There are no rails or guards or anything. You can lay on your stomach and peak your head over for a real good time. Throw in having wobbly legs from hiking 600 vertical meters in an hour and you'll feel more alive than ever. The Stawamus Chief is the worlds second largest granite monolith, near Squamish, British Columbia, Canada.
