God, I remember how mind-blowing it was for 17 year old me, with De-Loused in the Comatorium on repeat, discovering that the section at 3:50 in "Take the Veil Cerpin Taxt" was a total homage to "Larks Tongue in Aspic Pt. 1" (4:50). Then becoming aware the existence of Fripp, the whole-tone scale and Adrian Belew, I was in ecstasy. Man I love that feeling of a whole world opening up to me like that out of something so small.
