It's weird movie. And a bit too long in my opinion. Not too sure what the lesson is at the end. Be nice to homeless people?
In my opinion, it's a film about forgiveness. Forgiving others and forgiving yourself. There's a lot of healing going on in this movie. I think the acting is fantastic and the imagery is beautiful. _refugee_, if you have a friend like Perry, I would count you pretty lucky!!
I'm not too sure exactly what I would cut because every storyline adds something to the story. Maybe there are too many story lines? The girl Parry likes, the main characters career/remorse/girl problems, the holy grail, the boys beating the homeless, the bonding between Parry and our main guy... Maybe it's just that I don't really like long movies. I feel like Titanic could have been cut in half and be a better movie. I had trouble feeling interested until the end.
