mk, If you look at the picture, the message is written in Greek. Either Anonymous is bad at speaking Greek, or Anonymous' message was poorly translated into English. My guess is that someone just plugged Anonymous' message into Google translate.

I cannot imagine that they could erase debt. But, I suppose anything is possible. I wouldn't doubt that they could cause some confusion and instability. Erasing debt would make Fight Club and even better story. An Anonymous Jubilee!
