I recall a story told to me at university about my friend's housemate. I honestly can't remember his name, but I'll refer to him as 'Darren'. They, and the rest of the house, were sitting around in their living room hungover. Suddenly Darren passed an extremely wet sounding bit of gas. A few seconds later, he stood up an exclaimed "I've shit myself" and proceeded to pull down his trousers for all to see before waddling off to the toilet. Is that a slightly vile and peurile turn of events? Perhaps. But what Darren essentially did was completely own it and turned what many would see as an extremely embarissing situation into a funny anecdote. Of course, not that I'm suggesting loonybinnet do anything of sort, but it's a good example of not letting misfortunate accidents eat away at you. Because essentially, if you don't care then you can easily let go of any stigma that might arise.
