After a recent plea to the MPAA by BULLY teen Alex Libby and The Weinstein Company (TWC) Co-Chairman Harvey Weinstein failed – by one vote – to get the film its deserved PG-13 rating, TWC is choosing to move forward with releasing the film unrated by the MPAA on March 30.

Thanks for posting this. I remember having a discussion about this with you. I'm going to see it. I'm going to see it mostly so I can determine who is and isn't right in this assessment. Could this be the reaction Weinstein and company are hoping for from consumers???

I am hoping that this stone (film) gets two birds. First being the harsh reality of bullying in our schools and society in general and second being the absurdity of how the MPAA rate films. A little nudity or a little foul language gets films a "R" rating while films with graphic violence get a "PG-13." Asinine!!

This is great news, good for AMC. I just did a search for AMC near me and I would have to drive around 100 miles to see it. Perhaps I can schedule a work trip to an AMC area :)
I like how the CommonSense.org rating reads "Know your child, some content may not be right for some kids". -Right on, living up to their name "common sense".
