I'm trying to cut the drinking back to once a week. It's hard though because I work kid's parties on the weekends so I never party friday or saturday night. And I end up hanging out with 2 separate groups of friends during the week, planning on it being a low key night, and then failing miserably. And then Sunday night the girls and me from work end up killing a case of beer while we do out post-weekend deep clean.

Everything has changed since I started this new job. I party hard saturday nights but I still end up drinking once during the week after work with work mates. Now that I'm settling in, I don't go overboard because I know how miserable I am when I'm hungover at work.

How are you doing with your goals?

I'm good. I set the goal to run a 1/2 marathon in Oct and couldn't wait that long. I ran my first at the beginning of June. I still plan on running the Woodrow Wilson Bridge 1/2 in DC in October.

The hardest goal has been the one I set for NYE of being a vegetarian. It's getting harder all the time. I really miss eating meat. I was hell bent on lasting a whole year but I'm not sure I want to anymore. I actually feel like I'm missing out on some great experiences. I am fortunate to be able to go to some nice restaurants and I know that I'm not experiencing them in full. -This troubles me.

If you're in Durham again for a game, let me know. Veggie burgers are on me ;-)

At least your cutting back, that's good. You're feeling less DOMV and are working out too. This is good stuff. I went back to that bar Roxy tonight to get their corpse reviver again. -Good stuff.

Any chance of merging said groups of friends in to one?
