It wasn't "ice"

I've never thought I looked right in a proper hat. I wonder how much of that just stems from the fact that they've never been in style during my lifetime and they just rarely look "right" on anybody? I suppose if I lived during the twenties, saying I didn't "look right" in a hat would be the equivalent of saying I never looked right in shoes.

His name on the show 90210 was Steve Sanders. When I was in college my roommate and I were carrying a beer in the streets after a football game. A cop came over to us and asked us for our ID's. We were only 19. He asked my roommate for his name, address and social security number and issued him an MIP ticket and let him go. He turned to me and asked the same thing. I gave him the name Steve Sanders with a fake address and I changed the last digit of my SS#. He looked at me suspiciously and asked me to repeat the SS#. I did. He let me go and my friend had to pay fines etc and Steve Sanders got away scott free.

I was just thinking, why would "ice" kill men's hats? Wouldn't people keep their hats on if there was more ice around? Or am I missing something?
