I used mine heavily for about 6 months after buying it and then started buying paper books. It just isn't worth spending the same amount of money for a digital version.

I should have a package waiting at home for me with three paper books in it (along with a shirt and some hot sauce). I read one book electronically on my phone. The experience was unfulfilling.

Yes, that was my feeling (or lack thereof) as well. There's nothing bad about the experience, but the benefit of portability doesn't offset the near-equivalent cost, the DRM, and the loss of tactility.

I buy paperbacks and torrent the e-book. It's not a system I'm hugely proud of, but until the industry has a more sane option it's the one I choose.

near-equivalent cost

That's the kicker for me. If an electronic copy was half the cost maybe the DRM and bland experience would be worth it. Two of the books I ordered are more as Kindle editions and one is the same price. I'll stick with the paper copy I can leave in my car or toss in my backpack without a second thought.
