Pretty accurate except #25: 'Crime has gotten so bad in Detroit that even the police are telling people to "enter Detroit at your own risk".' It is true that police were telling this to people in the burbs, but it wasn't because crime all of a sudden shot up; everyone knows about the crime. It was a union tactical move to try to get public opinion on their side in negotiations with the city.
As an Illinoisan who votes Democrat, I laugh at the antics going on up in Wisconsin. And they say we're corrupt.
Illinois is pretty corrupt at the city and state level. And I say that as someone from Louisiana, so you know my glass house had plenty of pre-Jindal stones thrown at it. Walker seems to be doing a pretty good job cleaning up the mess in WI, at least from this distance. My experience in NC is that then the D's lose control of a state after a zillion years in charge of it, their lunatic fringe loses it's mind. They had the occupation of the capital in WI that caused $M in damages and a $MM failed recall election. Here in NC we have so-called "moral monday.' Perhaps I missed similar juvenile antics in Colorado when the D's from California and Washington took over the entire government and started changing laws willy-nilly. -XC
