One of your finest qualities. We're gonna figure it out it'll just take some finagling
Glad you’re ok brother.
Any chance they’ve published part 2? Or that you’ve got and archive link for it?
This is one of those articles I really appreciate. It’s written “lay-enough” that a guy like me can understand it without understanding all of the bits, and still give me things to think about. I’ve been thinking a lot about gravity… kind of on the back burner of my brain… and seeing that real scientists are still questioning it and wrestling with it makes me happy. It’s not just universally accepted and agreed upon - I like that people are still poking at it with sticks.
I will admit to knowing very little about these things… but when I heard this piece the other day I had to double check my maps… um… doesn’t the US 5th fleet operate out of Bahrain? Is there really much of a question as to naval superiority? (Again - I’m not some kind of military junkie - but my guess is an Iranian “closure” is not much more than posturing) Various talking heads have been mouthing off about Iran closing the Strait of Hormuz
Don’t forget the BBB which is gutting social programs to fund tax breaks for wealthy people and business. And the continued conflict of interests with a new phone company and meme coins. And Utah banning pride flags in schools and other government buildings, and Texas putting back the 10 commandments in schools. (No, Trump didn’t do these things - but his presidency emboldens the right)
This was a terrifying read. There’s and entire world I know nothing about
I've been out of work since January 1. I'm about 200 applications deep and not any real traction. A friend called the other day (well-intended) to offer me a job for 1/3 of what I was making. I have a few leads from old coworkers/friends - but none of them will turn into anything until at least June 9. It's a wild ride.
it's true... I love these updates. Thanks for the shoutout so I didn't miss it. I spent several years cleaning swimming pools and dealing with the pumps/valves/heaters... I know enough to be dangerous, and also to know exactly what kind of trouble you just went through. I had one client that had the see-thru piping on waste/backwash - it's a really nice touch. I'm glad you postponed speaker wire purchasing long enough to post.
very nice subtle harmonies... I dig it. and I remain amazed that you can just whip that up on a lunch break. Keep it up man.
I haven't clicked this yet... but I'm betting that one of the steps is: "be financially supported by parents, partner or trust fund" . . edit: ok - I read it... my step was not included.... but I enjoyed the piece.
People call me dumb as a rock all the time. I’ve started taking it as a compliment. Rocks are cool.
great score!
great score! I think I got 11 once, but usually much lower than this.
You suck at Last Word(tm)
