Took the plunge this week and got myself the Elektron Digitakt. The OG, not the mark II, because I could get a pretty good deal on it used. I am very impressed with it, as it’s both very easy and intuitive to start using. It has the right amount of depth and options to enable endless exploration of all the combinations, but it’s also entirely optional so if you just want to put eight samples in a pattern you can go ham.
Just signed up for an electrician. They're busy, likely won't be able to come until January. Painting is slow going, we've done two windows of trim, one wall in the dining room, and the upper half of the bathroom (beadboard vs drywall). Taping is by far the worst part. And we don't even have colors picked out for the living room, kitchen, or primary bedroom yet. Big shout-out to the cocktails reddit page for always having someone posting cocktail pictures it's been fun looking at them for a new pic every week. Hope all is well with everyone!
This has been a question of mine for probably years now. idk how long you've been making pubski. maybe not that long but it sure feels like it.Big shout-out to the cocktails reddit page for always having someone posting cocktail pictures it's been fun looking at them for a new pic every week.
Lol a little over a year at this point! Once or twice I've pulled from the home distilling one too because #bootlegpubski, but they tend to be heavily discussion based and pics of stills, not cocktails with homemade liquor. /r/firewater if you want to have some fun.
January for an electrician? WTF? Can't you just source one on Airtasker, or something?
It's a specific type of electric work we need done so we need the specialist -- replacement of knob and tube. I'm also taking it as a good sign it means he's in demand and likely then does quality work.
We just replaced our old pickup at work with a new one. They got a Ford F350 with the extended crew cab, extended bed, with a powered lift gate that adds a foot and a half to the vehicle. Goddamn is it enormous. It's probably the biggest vehicle I've driven and it needs to go into plenty of tight spaces. Every time you start it up it shows a little add in the speedometer area of stylized truck photos and motto's like "Built Ford Tough." The fuck I'd buy a car that was going to show me a commercial every time I got in it. Ford just did whatever the opposite of advertising to me is. I guess it's everything we need in one vehicle. It can handle big tow jobs so we don't have to use the even bigger dump truck, it's got a 50 gallon diesel tank for the dredge and generators, four guys fit comfortably and you can haul a lot of gear but I don't dig it. Weird thing to put in Pubski but it's on my mind tonight. Sending troops to Portland is so dumb. Any disturbance to federal property is taking place on one block, maybe spilling out two surrounding blocks on occasion. If they wanted to make the city better they would fund housing. Most leaders are pushing for people to just ignore federal troops until they wander away, I hope it works. Black block goes hard when they commit and they just might, hope they don't. It's kinda neat that the ICE building is near the Tesla dealership.
I live in the land of the ute, which back in the day, used to mean this sort of thing. Lately, the sort of trucks you're talking about have really gotten popular here in Oz, usually among the bogan set who don't actually need one. Truck enthusiasts can get pissed off when you point out that the tray size of something like an F350 is actually no larger than the tray size of a traditional ute.
haha of course an El Camino would persist as an evolutionary dead end in the land of kangaroos and platypuses Here on the Pacific Rim the general approach is "fukkit I'll just import a kei truck"
i get a lot of joy out of seeing those kei trucks driving around town
We're starting to see Chinese versions of those trucks on the streets here, as well. I gather they're extremely cheap.
Dude pickups have evolved well past their usefulness. A basic bitch F150 is $50k. That's two Honda Civics if you want to haul shit to the dump. Not only that but most of the time they have four doors now which doesn't mean a ridiculously long wheelbase it means a bed about the size of a jacuzzi tub. I went to the hardware store with my father-in-law's 2002 "TRD" crew cab Toyota and it barely fit a horse trough! What are we doing here? What we're doing is we're buying vehicles with the steering wheel on the wrong side because the stuff we can buy new from the local dealer is completely and utterly irrelevant to our lives.
the american people want to get as close as possible to driving tanks
